[A post for all your one-on-one communication needs with the determined kid.
Frisk doesn't spend too much time at their apartment, a small room in the middle of Otherworlder housing. Maybe because they live completely by themselves. Hm.
In any case they're quick to respond once contacted. Mail is generally slower and riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. They spend their days exploring, playing, and doing odd jobs for a couple of native families who help make sure they have enough money for a roof over their head and food to eat. You won't hear them complaining about their living situation though.]

Yeah, I'm okay... um... we're okay. Sorta. [And there's a note of caution now too.] Why? Did something happen?

[Key word being trying. But they always, always have time for their friends. Especially since Alphys sounds like she really does need it right now.]
What didja wanna talk about?
no subject
Has, um. Has the book stuff been going well??
no subject
[They got a few good suggestions. And tried looking in different places. They're also taking it a bit more easy and trying other options instead, though they're unsure overall how much learning they're really doing yet.]
I'm trying to talk to Piphron too, though he hasn't said anything back yet.
no subject
You're something special, Frisk.
no subject
I just... want to help people.
[It's important. Hm... Alphys had said that it as lonely, right?]
Do you wanna go somewhere? It's almost spring so it's starting to be really pretty outside, with all the flowers 'n things.

[There's a moment of silence, mixed with conflicting emotions. Anxiety, and sadness, and confusion, and a brief, sharp sting of apathy-- But quickly it's replaced with the tiniest bit of relief, shaded with resignation]
Y-yeah, I... I probably should. It's- I haven't left the house at all since I got back. I promise we don't have to have any dramatic discussions for once!!
no subject
Okay! We can get food if you want or we can just go looking around at things. I can show you my favorite spot just outside the city if you want! It doesn't... it doesn't got computers or anything but it's really pretty.
no subject
[...]
Um. ... Anyway. Yes. Let's go to the. Place you like. The thing place. With the pretty.
no subject
You're right. But there's no anime down there either!
[All right now they're just being a little shit for the sake of being silly and trying to cheer her up.]
Um, I'll meet you where we met up last time. By the notice board, right?
no subject
S-sure! I'll, um... I'll be there as soon as I actually, um. Get dressed. I've been wearing the same labcoat for... well, as long as I was a statue, I guess, heh...
no subject
You gotta take care of yourself!
[Said the pot to the kettle.]
I'll see you soon though, okay!
[And they will! They're likely waiting at the notice board by the time she gets there.]
[in person]
Regardless, she shuffles over to Frisk, smiling weakly]
H-hi.
no subject
Hey!
[They still think she looks really nice. Just like they did then.]
Um... ready?
no subject
I k-kinda underestimated how embarrassing wearing this in public would be, heh, so, um, yes, let's go to your secluded place.
no subject
C'mooooon!
[They ease up a little once they're properly moving, and lead her down towards the lake, steadily making their way towards the outer edge of the city.
They also ignore any cultists trying to surreptitiously take their picture.]
no subject
And also to the completely new surroundings.]
That's- I haven't actually been this far out of the city center. Um, ever.
no subject
[They aren't even quite outside the city yet... well, Frisk will just have to do an extra-good job of showing her how nice everything is out there! Though come to think of it, if she's stayed inside the city...]
You didn't see the new puzzle thing then either, did you?
[Come to think of it, Alphys might not've been... unstatue-ified then.]
no subject
S-sans showed me some schematics. I've been- That's what I've been doing in my room the last week or two, is trying to figure out what they do. ... And I'm completely clueless.
no subject
It's okay. I think we're all sorta confused about 'em. We'll figure it out together!
[She doesn't have to do this alone. They hum thoughtfully to themselves, wondering... maybe going out to see them later will help? They'll have to bring it up in a bit.
But for now, they're reaching the very edge of town, just a few minutes' walk from Frisk's favorite spot.]
no subject
It's- Kind of nice out here. I mean, I like cities, and all, but- I mean- I set up out in Hotland for a reason. S-solitude and all.
no subject
[It's part of why they found this place too. For when they just... needed space. A place they could feel however they wanted without it being a problem to anybody, among other reasons.
Speaking of which, they've gotten there.
It's right down near the lake's edge, you could wade in a little if you wanted, though the water's still frigid. There's likewise a tree nearby, with flowers starting to bloom at the tips of its low-hanging branches; some of the tree's limbs are even low enough and flat enough to sit on easily, if one so desired.
All around the little clearing though, it looks like it's about to erupt into a riot of color. There's flowers, so many, just on the cusp of blooming. By the time the Flower Festival rolls around, they'll probably be gorgeous.
Frisk turns back to Alphys, smiling.]
We're here.
May 29th, morning
That doesn't, however, mean Ayumu wasn't going to slip out of bed at a decent enough hour to get started on breakfast. When Frisk wakes, they'll find the house already smells of delicious cooking. Pancakes, bacon, eggs-- a basic, western breakfast, but a good way to make sure his cooking was back to normal after the past nearly two weeks. So far, so good....
When Frisk does emerge, it'll be to Ayumu carefully stacking yet another pancake on the pile growing atop a serving plate, a fire core keeping it warm as he works.]
no subject
Waking up has its moments though. Like being able to smell the breakfast cooking. Like being able to hop out of bed, creep down the hall, and find that it is Ayumu doing the cooking, like he always did.
Like being able to scamper across the room and wrap their arms around him in a hug, even if it's a bit of a surprise.]
no subject
He had an idea, after all, of how tough these past two week had to have been for everyone. And for Frisk......]
Good morning.
[They needed this. Maybe Ayumu did, too.]
Hope you feel like pancakes.
no subject
[Yeah, that's definitely him. He's definitely back. They grin and nod.]
With syrup?
[Honestly they more filling the gap - they don't care either way, now that Ayumu's back to normal.]
no subject
[He returns Frisk's grin with a small, happy smile of his own, ruffling their hair once more.]
There's eggs and bacon, too-- I thought you'd like a nice, big breakfast this morning.
no subject
'm just glad you're back.
[He didn't need to go to all the fuss, honestly. This was more than enough for them.]
no subject
[It wasn't fuss, to Ayumu. Being able to cook breakfast again for them all was a relief, if anything.]
....And... I'm sorry. For worrying you.
no subject
S'okay. I- I knew something was wrong. That something was going on.
[Even though their feelings loved ignoring this knowledge and leaving them in a pit of anxiety about the whole situation.]
no subject
[He checks the burner, flipping one last pancake so it can finish in the pan.]
Tell you what. I'll finish this last one up, and we can eat together, ok? Then maybe we can talk a little.
no subject
[They slowly - reluctantly - disentangle themselves then hop over to the table and peer on it to see if it's already been made, counting all the forks and knives and everything. Yep, it's all in order, though... they guess they aren't surprised.
Once that's settled, they scramble up into a chair and wait there, fidgeting only a little bit as they waited.]
no subject
He takes up the platter and a bowl of freshly cooked, scrambled eggs, carrying both over to the table where he sits next to Frisk, offering them first pick from the pancakes with a smile. There's already pitchers of juice and milk set out, as well as a kettle of tea.]
I didn't make a very large variety, but I think I did alright for making my first breakfast in awhile.
