[A post for all your one-on-one communication needs with the determined kid.
Frisk doesn't spend too much time at their apartment, a small room in the middle of Otherworlder housing. Maybe because they live completely by themselves. Hm.
In any case they're quick to respond once contacted. Mail is generally slower and riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. They spend their days exploring, playing, and doing odd jobs for a couple of native families who help make sure they have enough money for a roof over their head and food to eat. You won't hear them complaining about their living situation though.]

'm just glad you're back.
[He didn't need to go to all the fuss, honestly. This was more than enough for them.]

[It wasn't fuss, to Ayumu. Being able to cook breakfast again for them all was a relief, if anything.]
....And... I'm sorry. For worrying you.

S'okay. I- I knew something was wrong. That something was going on.
[Even though their feelings loved ignoring this knowledge and leaving them in a pit of anxiety about the whole situation.]

[He checks the burner, flipping one last pancake so it can finish in the pan.]
Tell you what. I'll finish this last one up, and we can eat together, ok? Then maybe we can talk a little.

[They slowly - reluctantly - disentangle themselves then hop over to the table and peer on it to see if it's already been made, counting all the forks and knives and everything. Yep, it's all in order, though... they guess they aren't surprised.
Once that's settled, they scramble up into a chair and wait there, fidgeting only a little bit as they waited.]

He takes up the platter and a bowl of freshly cooked, scrambled eggs, carrying both over to the table where he sits next to Frisk, offering them first pick from the pancakes with a smile. There's already pitchers of juice and milk set out, as well as a kettle of tea.]
I didn't make a very large variety, but I think I did alright for making my first breakfast in awhile.
